Thermomix is one of the most technologically advanced kitchen appliances on the market. A smart, connected all-in-one kitchen appliance and more, loved by consumers and consultants globally. Thermomix unites the functions of over 20 appliances in one compact unit, whilst offering thousands of recipes on an exclusive recipe platform for step-by-step hands-free cooking.
Thermomix engaged WeAreDigital to help with its digital transformation program. The aim was to consolidate a complex collection of systems, websites and platforms to provide a single direct selling channel on Shopify Plus. The result achieves this, supporting Thermomix's network of sales consultants and passionate consumer community in Australia and New Zealand.
WeAreDigital delivered a highly functional, and service-driven digital customer experience that has played a pivotal role in the business transformation of one of the most advanced kitchen appliances on the market today.
Even the wildly popular, capable Thermomix TM5s don't sell themselves. Thermomix depends on a nationwide network of passionate Thermomix ambassadors that constantly build quality relationships through cooking demonstrations, customer outreach, and the brand's iconic parties.
WeAreDigital were engaged to deliver a direct online selling channel to support the amazing network of Thermomix sales consultants. Through a custom-built 'Find My Consultant' product, WeAreDigital delivered the ability to bring the famed in-person, high-quality service of Thermomix consultants to a frictionless world of online commerce that nurtures leads, adds value, and builds trust between customers and consultants.
The brief was to bring Thermomix's iconic industrial design elements to the online experience, ensuring the magic of using the TM6 was faithfully recreated online.
Taking cues from on-screen user interface elements, the WeAreDigital design team worked closely with Thermomix to craft a highly flexible digital toolkit for back-end use. Immersive transitions, light and dark theming options, and the ability to create feature content layouts for tech specs, product details, recipes, and more.
The Thermomix brand site is only one side of the digital transformation project that WeAreDigital worked to develop. In addition to selling TM6s, Thermomix Australia has developed an incredible ecosystem of purpose-built designer accessories to make customers' cooking experiences better and easier, everyday. WeAreDigital used the power of Shopify Plus to help customers discover and purchase from a wide range of products and accessories.
Product pages are packed with features including product bundles with discounts, a social media integration with FourSixty and ratings and reviews with Okendo. A powerful recipe finder was custom-built, offering recipe suggestions to make the shopping experience as value packed as possible whilst optimising the site for organic search.
To make sure help was never far away for customers, a custom support desk was developed with dynamic forms integrating into Zendesk, operated by the Thermomix support team.
